  • Contact Transmission

    Droplets are deposited on the surface of items, and after contact with contaminated hands, they contact mucous membranes such as the oral cavity, nasal cavity, and eyes, resulting in infection.

  • Aerosol Transmission

    Droplets are mixed in the air to form aerosols (particles smaller than 5 microns), which can survive and float in the air for a long time due to their small size, causing infection after inhalation.

Aerosol transmission has a wider range and longer distance than droplet transmission.
